Mt Victoria is within the suburbs of Newtown, Hataitai, Mt Victoria, as well as the Courtenay Place end of the CBD.  Map of location
There is a variety of accommodation in the CBD as well as Newtown and Mt Victoria, ranging from Back packers, to Motels or deluxe hotels!!! Stay in Newtown, Mt Victoria or the Courtenay Place end of town and you are within easy cycling distance of the venue.

Lyall Bay - Maranui 'Surf Club' - great food and good coffee, plus awesome view of the sea, surf etc
Courteney Place - Deluxe cafe - by Embassy Theatre, (cycle off the course) and down Majoribanks St!!
For the best authentic pizzas - Medifoods Warehouse - close and easy for pick up - 500m down the road from Mt Victoria on Constable St.
